From Formula 1, touring cars through to hydrogen-powered racing cars: it’s hard to imagine the world’s race tracks without BWT and the colour pink today.
BWT IN MOTOR SPORTS
Pink – the colour of motor racing
At many sporting events, and especially in motorsport, the color pink can no longer be overlooked. Even in the top class of motorsport – Formula 1 – pink remains a fixed element. Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel is wearing a pink helmet, helping to spread our message “Change the world, sip by sip” to the world. Behind this message is the goal of reducing the unnecessary transport of water bottles and the associated global CO2 emissions, while at the same time doing away with the use of disposable plastic bottles. In doing so, Sebastian is helping us to spread our mission to provide water of perfect drinking quality everywhere in the world. Furthermore, we are looking forward to our partnership with the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team.
This season, we are once again supplying the team around Lance Stroll and Sebastian Vettel with the best Magnesium Mineralized Water from our water dispensers, enabling them to save around 2,018 plastic bottles every race weekend. We are also represented in touring cars and regularly celebrate successes with the drivers. Away from the racetrack, we invest a lot in research and development, which in turn flows into racing. Above all, we are pioneers in the field of membrane technology, such as that used in hydrogen-powered vehicles, and with FORZE Electric Racing we are impressively demonstrating that this technology also has a great future ahead of it in racing.
After three successful years, we strengthened our partnership in the season 2020 with Racing Point by taking on the role of title sponsor. The racing team started last year under the name BWT Racing Point F1 Team. Together with the team, we can look back on many successful races for our two pink bolides.
